Young Child's Bedroom

      This room has traditionally been decorated as a child's room. The bed, with its original horse hair mattress, is an authentic iron bed of the era as well as many of the other pieces in the room. Please note the birdseye and curly maple woods and the fifth fireplace in this room. You will see that there is a great deal more to refurbish on the second floor. Additionally, these floors were not protected by the linoleum as the first floor was. All of the rooms on the east side of the house connect to each other. The furnishings are mostly from the Mildred Cook estate.
